I remember those Sunday mornings …
When you got me ready for church and Sunday School ---
I was not always eager to get up so early…
But being with you was just so cool --- |

I think that it is so very cool –
That you and I are related to each other by blood…
You are the sister of my dear Daddy ---
And you are someone I truly love…. |

You and my Mom grew up as sisters ---
And your bond with her is mighty fine…
But through the years you have also become ---
A confidant and friend of mine… |

What a Woman of God you are ….

When I married your daughter ---
I was hoping for the best…

Hugs and kisses from Daddy’s “Little Girl”…
Watching you become a woman ---
Was the biggest thrill in all the world…. |

You are one nurturing & loving sensation…. |

But in the absence of my father,

For as long as I can remember …
You have been an example of genuine Motherhood,
If I could be half the Mother you have been ---
